Grimes
Claire Elise Boucher (/bu:'SeI/ boo-SHAY;[1] born March 17 the 17th of March, 1988) also known as Grimes is an Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, as well as a record producer. [2][3] The range of her earlier music has been described as "lo fi R&B" and "futuristic dance-pop". In addition, she has included elements of hip-hop electronic music, as well as rock. Her lyrics frequently address science fiction and feminist themes. The singer has recorded five albums. Grimes came from Vancouver but later relocated to Montreal. She began her independent music career in late in the 2000s. In 2010, she released two albums on Arbutus Records, Geidi Primes (and Halfaxa), respectively. In 2012, Visions was her third studio album. Grimes signed with 4AD. Visions includes the singles "Genesis" and "Oblivion" which was given the Juno Award in Canada for Electronic Album of the year. Art Angels, her fourth studio album, debuted in the year 2015. Several publications called it the top album. Miss Anthropocene was her fifth album in the studio. Grimes was also an actor and judge in Alter Ego's musical competitions performed as the vocalist as part of Cyberpunk 2077 which was released in 2020.
